Seven Stones Winery is an estate boutique winery located in the pristine Similkameen Valley. Our winery is well-known for its full-bodied red wines, a spectacular view and its mysterious caves. Owner and winemaker George Hanson makes wines in an elegant French style that shows the best of grape variety. Seven Stones Winery produces about 4200 cases from grapes that are grown on site and carefully harvested by hand. George believes that from vineyard to barrel, the care and control of his grapes translates to the quality of wines that he crafts.
The caves provide precision temperature control for the aging of the wine. This is needed as the summer heat in the Similkameen Valley can be extreme, reaching upwards of an arid 40 degrees. The depth of the caves allows the temperature to remain a constant 10.5 degrees, which is imperative to the optimal aging of wine.
The name of Seven Stones Winery comes from the legend of the seven individual rock formations scattered throughout the Similkameen Valley. The Seven Stones tasting room, vineyard, winery and caves are located at 1143 Highway 3 and is a scenic 20 minute drive west of Osoyoos and 7 minutes east of Cawston.
If you plan on touring the Similkameen Valley, visiting Seven Stones should be on the top of your list. Take a tour, attend an event hosted in the caves or even just breathe in the panoramic view on the sundeck with your picnic lunch as you enjoy a delicious glass of Seven Stones wine. Your experience at Seven Stones Winery will be truly unforgettable.
