2016 The Legend
This wine is made using 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 12% Petit Verdot and 8% Cabernet Franc grapes. It appears with a vibrant ruby red core and cherry rim. Aromas of earth, Bing cherry, bell peppers (capsicum). On the palate, the wine has a smooth entry with fine grained silky tannins. Flavours of black cherry, black currants, pink peppercorns, star anise and a spiced dark chocolate. Harmoniously integrated structural components. Great acidic thread throughout with an earthy olive note on the finish and a long-extended length.
Pairing: Charbroiled lamb chops with fresh mint crust and roast potatoes, stuffed and baked eggplant with an earthy cheese like gruyere. Cellaring: Stunning now, or continue to cellar through 2027
